Why not get your skates on and learn to skate at our fantastic ice arena this winter!
Thinking of taking to the ice? Why not join us at one of our drop in sessions! Open to skaters of all abilities! Our coaches will be on hand to provide pointers as you find your feet on the ice or if you are working on your technique. If your thinking of joining our Skate School Why not give it a whirl? Book online in advance for £7.50 per session or £8.50 at the skating office on the day!
Our Skate School courses are for customers aged 5 years of age and older and are available to purchase in either kids or adults category.
Please ensure you select the correct course, date and time as we are unable to transfer, cancel or refund your booking once you have made a purchase.
Fully qualified coaches deliver our Skate School courses, please ensure you follow the guidance and instructions you recieve from them.
Practice ice sessions pre or post group lessons are not available.
You will recieve 5 free admission tickets as part of your booking, these will be issued to you on arrival at Braehead Arena for your first group lesson. The free admission tickets can be redeemed for any of our off peak ice skating sessions, skate boot rental is included if required.
Refunds are only permitted should we cancel any Skate School course. Should we have to cancel your course at any point after your first group lesson you will be issued you with a pro rata refund for the remaining group lessons.
Occasionally we may have to change the day, date and time of all or part of any of your remaining Skate School group lessons. In the unlikely event that this happens we will contact you as soon as possible to advise of any changes. No refunds will be permitted in these circumstances.
Ensure you are 100% committed to enrolling into our Skate School courses before you purchase your ticket, we are unable to refund your purchase should you change your mind or decide that you do not like ice skating.
Please use the chargeable lockers provided at a cost of 50p per locker. Personal items left unattended and not in a locker will be removed and may be destroyed.
Ice Skating Risks
All ice skaters step onto the ice at their own risk. Customers using the facility for ice skating activity are deemed to have knowledge of and accept the inherent risks which include, but are not limited to Injuries resulting from collision or contact with other skaters, Injuries resulting from falls, Injuries that arise from accidental contact with barriers or any part deemed to be the fabric of the building.
Ice Skating is NOT suitable for pregnant women and anyone with a heart condition.
It is your responsibility (or you parent/guardians if you are aged under 16) to assess your wellbeing as being suitable to go ice skating prior to purchasing your ticket and/or entering the facility.
You are required to follow the instructions of your group lesson coach at all times.
Please ensure you stay with your group at all times during the Skate School lesson.
Do not sit on surrounding barriers.
Eating or drinking on the ice prohibited.
No mobile phones or other personal devices are allowed on the ice and the use of such items on the ice is prohibited.
You agree to be considerate to all other ice skaters and consider their safety as well as your own at all times.
